Neat Oil
Kave's world-class neat oils helps you increase productivity and performance, as well as maintain high surface-finish levels and dimensional accuracy. They are suitable for a wide range of applications from broaching, turning, milling, drilling up to grinding, superfinishing and honing.
Neat cutting oils have superior lubricating and cutting performance. They are often preferred for machining materials that are difficult to machine, such as stainless steel and high-temperature alloys.
Types Of Neat Oil
These Neat Cutting Oils are deliver Extreme Pressure and Weld Load bearing capability apart from lubricity and cooling to the work piece and tool. Some of these oils contain additives which are active type and corrosive to yellow metal while some are designed for soft yellow metals.
Active cutting oils are mineral-based non-emulsifying fluids, used for steel processing. As their name suggests, active cutting oils contain sulfur, phosphorous, and chlorine-based additives in an active form. Since they are not firmly attached to the oil, they chemically react with the surface of nonferrous metals and their alloys at low temperatures. That is why they are never used with nonferrous and light metals.
Inactive cutting oils are mineral-based non-emulsifying oils. They contain advanced anti-corrosion and anti-oxidation additives in an inactive form that are based on sulfur, phosphorus, and chlorine. That means that, unlike their active counterparts, inactive cutting oils are suited for nonferrous and “white” metals and their alloys because they do not chemically react with their surfaces.
Benefits of Neat Oil
NEat oils are specifically designed to support even the most demanding cutting processes, including milling, deep drilling, gearing, thread cutting, profile grinding, and superfinishing.
- Heat reduction
- Lubrication at high pressures and reduced tool wear
- Good anti-corrosion protection
- No adverse impact on non-ferrous metals
- Good anticorrosion protection properties
